BAINBRIDGE BRINGS IT HOME

October 4th, 2019.

Tom Bainbridge has been racing quads for some six years now, firstly on a Yamaha 125, and then progressing through the ranks and clubs – Nora-MX and Gravity - to his current 250 hybrid machine.

His 2019 quad has a 250 Raptor frame modified to take a Honda CRF250L fuel-injected engine designed and built by dad Richard at RB Engineering South West Ltd – currently Tom’s main sponsor.

Parts for his championship-wining machine have been supplied by ATVs Only and include aftermarket brake and clutch levers, anti-vibe handlebars, Lonestar steering stem, chains and sprockets, brakes, bearings, wheels, tyres, rear axle, and PEP steering damper to name but a few.

Over the last six years, Tom has spent many sessions training with 2019 Team GB QXoN team-member Oli Samson and has recently been with Sansom at his sand track preparing for next year. As Tom prepares to move into the 450cc groups, his plan is to continue training and get his fitness to the best it can be.

This year was his first-year racing at the DQR ATVs Only British XC Championship in the 250 hybrid group. He ended the season with four out of seven race wins, taking the holeshot and leading the races from start to finish.

In his GravityLC championship, Tom will be walking away with a second overall this year, and again proved to be the holeshot king.

His goal for next year is to race at Weston Beach Race and would love the opportunity to race at PDV. He plans to return to Nora-MX and continue with Dragon Quad Racing and GravityLC.

Said Richard; “Tom has always rider with the #50 plate and will hope to continue in the 450cc novice group next year. He is very focused, enthusiastic and determined not to give up and will always fight to the end for his first place. The ATVs Only parts have been superb this year.”
