BLUES & TWOS

January 20th, 2020.

As previously reported, the Rock Oil Michelin Ecosse XC Winter MX Championship successfully started the New Year on Sunday the 12th of January, with the third round of its 2019/2020 series.

The series, also supported by Wulfsport and Drysdale Motorcycles, welcomed bumper grids across all classes, with well over 200 competitors signed up and ready to race. The hard-working club, and all involved, even received support from both plain clothes and traffic police, who dropped by the event to reassure all gathered of the importance the Lothian & Borders police force places on deterring off-road crime.

Club organiser Stephen Palmer explained; “These are difficult times in terms of off-road related crime. All too often a great day’s racing can be destroyed by the theft of a machine, parts, accessories and even bigger vehicles. As a club, we are immensely grateful to the Lothian & Borders force for taking the time to first acknowledge that there is a problem and, secondly, to show that they are actually doing something about it.”
