Overnight rain, and selective watering of the track on Saturday afternoon, ensured the Milton Park circuit remained in near perfect condition for racing on Sunday’s season opener of the British QX Championship.

Race 1 start; Tom Day #139, George Callaway #89, Liam Garbett #13

Over 20 of the UK’s best quad racers competed across the classes, with former multi-British champ Paul Winrow in the mix. He showed he can still run with the young guns, but George Callaway was out in front in the first moto to take his first race win of the season, ahead of Mark McLernon who charged from 15th on the opening lap to pass reigning champion Paul Holmes in the closing stages of the race. Holmes secured third ahead of Under-21 rider Tom Day in fourth and Winrow in fifth.
