COLHOUN SEEKS SPECIALIST HELP FOR WRIST INJURY

May 27 2015.

British Under 21 championship leader Dean Colhoun will see a specialist and have an MRI scan on his injured wrist this week after it continued to trouble him at the British Championship round at Foxhill last weekend.

The 20-year-old Ulsterman thought he had just jarred the wrist at his home round at Desertmartin at the beginning of May, but it is still giving him trouble.

Colhoun could be seen regularly resting the wrist by taking his hand off the bar and rotating his hand over Foxhill’s big jumps.

“There’s clearly something wrong with it still. I saw a physio and he suspects there may be small crack in the scaphoid,” explained Colhoun.

Despite the wrist problem Colhoun leads the Under 21 series by 21 points from George Callaway and cut Paul Holmes’ lead in the main championship from 25 to 20 points at Foxhill.
