ENTRIES OPEN FOR ROUND 4 OF MCF BRITISH XC QUAD CHAMPIONSHIP

Entries are now available for round four of the official MCF 2017 British Quad Cross Country Championship sponsored by ATV's Only.


Hosted once again by the Dragon Quad Racing organisation the event will be held at Brake Hill on Grafton Road, Brigstock on the outskirts of Kettering. Postcode for the venue is NN14 3NB.

The event caters for all classes of rider from Miniquad 50 and 90cc categories, to the youth 100-125, 250cc and the new Hybrid class, with six adult classes covering riders from 4x4 through to Expert Plus.

With three rounds under their racing belts, Owen Stephens and Louie Holt are heading the 50cc and 90c Miniquad classes respectively. Three points cover the top four in the 125cc class with James Maybury heading Harry Exley, Caelan Davies and Cai Evans, Shelley Smart is leading the Hybrid class, whilst Callum Brooks leads the 250cc Youth Class with a four point advantage over Will Dunlop.

The Adult 4x4 Classes are split between Heavy and Light with Steve Atkins leading Martin Benbow by three points in the heavies and Katie Hodgson with a 12 point gap at the top of the lights. Young Axel Bone is leading the Sportsman class after a win last time out, whilst Jacob Woodward is at the top of the competitive Clubman class with only three points between himself, Nat Brinkworth and Luke Richards. It is also tight at the head of the Expert class with Matt James on 82 points just one ahead of Iestyn Rowlands in second.

Current champion Rhydian Owen (pictured above) took advantage of a win at round three to move to the top of the Expert Plus table, with Alex Bethell sitting in second spot just nine points adrift - there are five rounds still to run.
