FOXHILL BRITISH QX CANCELLED

October 12th, 2018

The Nora-MX team, together with the ACU and track owner, have made the decision to cancel this weekend’s final British Quadcross and Sidecar championship event at Foxhill Moto Park in Wiltshire.

Having given consideration to the implications of the forecast severe storm, coupled with gale warnings for Swindon, surrounding areas and many parts of the UK, all parties agreed that it was in the best interests of all concerned to withdraw from running the meeting.

“We feel the risk is too great and could compromise the safe and successful running of the event, not to mention putting on a fitting finale for the series,” said a Nora-MX organiser. “We sincerely apologise for having to make this decision today, but we had to consider the travel plans of many racers, families, friends and supporters. There is a terrific amount of work to get this far, and we are equally as disappointed as all involved. Let’s look forward to 2019.”

The event will not be rescheduled, so the championship positions after the Canada Heights round last weekend will stand as the final championship overalls, meaning Paul Holmes is the 2018 British QX Champion and Harry Walker the 2018 Under-21 British QX Champion.
