GREAT 8 NEWS

August 11th, 2017.

The QRA has confirmed the dates for the annual 2017 QRA GREAT 8. The epic weekend will take place be at High Post, Amesbury in Wiltshire, just along the road from Stonehenge, on the weekend of the 23rd and 24th of September.

"It's been something of a nightmare fitting the event date into the race calendar this year and taking into account the landowner's calendar as well," explained QRA organiser Tony Nash.

For this year the ever-popular event will include a new format, with the main Great 8, eight-hour adult race taking place on the Saturday with a floodlit evening race programme and the legendary Great 8 Party night.

The Sunday will see a relaxed start with Youth, Mini Bikes, Evo and Big Kids events.

Full details will be posted at the new www.qrauk.com website, or you can email great8@qrauk.com for updates and information.

Great 8 news items are like buses; the QRA has also announced that to avoid the end of season dates nightmare, the 2018 Great 8 will move to the front end of the season on the weekend of the 26th, 27th and 28th of May 2018.

An 'Awesome' venue at Evesham in Worcestershire will be the new location.
