HOLMES AND WARNIA PAIR UP FOR PDV

August 3rd, 2018.

British Champion Paul Holmes will pair up with French superstar Jeremie Warnia at the Pont de Vaux 12 hour later this month. Holmes, the last British rider to win the event back in 2011, and Warnia, the winner in 2014, will be fielded by the French team, Yamaha by Rapport, which is based just a mile from the track. The third rider in the squad will be a young French rider, Sylvain Petit
.

“The team was originally me, Petit and Adrian Mangieu, but Mangieu injured his wrist in training and Warnia has stepped in,” said Holmes.

“The team was strong last year and they look like they try to have fun as well as take the race seriously, which suited me,” added Holmes, who spent last weekend on two wheels instead of four when he completed the 100-mile Ride London event, raising £610 for the Open Arms Malawi charity in the process.

With Pont de Vaux just a month away several big names teams are starting to drop into place. A crack all-Dutch trio of Mike van Grinsven, Joe Maessen and Marc de Vries is eye-caching, as is the team of Andrea Cesari Junior (Italy), Antonie Cheurlin (France) and Randy Naveaux (Belgium).

Full details of the event can be found at www.pdvracing.com
