The fifth round of the Lucas Oil Quad Cross-Country Championship, organised by Enduroland, took place on Saturday with plenty of action across all classes.

Overall winner in the Elite/Expert category was Mitch Couzens who also grabbed an unexpected holeshot over usual suspect Sophie Bosworth.

The lap times averaged out at around 10 minutes and Ryan Griffin led the field for most of the two-hour race, only to fail at the last hurdle when he ran out of fuel and was passed by most of the other contenders.

In the 250cc plus class, new Lucas Oil-supported Andrew Perring stormed to his first class victory ahead of Dannii Leggett, the current championship leader.

Bradley Price once again cleaned up in the Rookys, taking the group points and first place award, as well as a very healthy sixth place overall.

Andrew Homer took 450cc Clubman honours, with Joe Bacon winning the youth 12-14 class (250cc Raptor).

Next up for Enduroland is its 10-hour team and ironman event at Chacombe, near Banbury, over the weekend of 9th/10th August. Round six of the Lucas Oil Quad XC will be held on 30th/31st August at Aliz Arena, near Daventry.
