NORA SERIES STARTS THIS WEEKEND

May 3rd, 2018.

Following a couple of false starts because of the weather, the NORA-MX Championship finally get underway this weekend with a two-day meeting at the Grittenham track in Wiltshire.

The meeting on the 6th and 7th of May will feature all the club’s youth and adult championship classes, and to ensure a bit of variety, one day will be run in the traditional clockwise direction and the other anti-clockwise.

“The weather forecast is good, the track has been inspected and is good and the entries are coming in nicely. It’s going to be great to get going,” said NORA boss Stuart Walker.

Riders who want to enter can do so right now via the ACU’s online entry portal at www.ride-acu.uk/Secure/Login.aspx

The rolling, wide, quad-friendly Grittenham track is easy to get to, just a few miles from Royal Wootton Bassett off the M4 - postcode SN15 4JW. Overnight parking is available and a food outlet will also be on site.

The event is to be run by the usual NORA team, including Stuart, who has opted not to accompany his son Harry to the third round of the European Championship in Ukraine, this weekend. Instead, Harry, who is sixth and 16 points off the lead in the six-round series after two rounds, will be accompanied on the 3000 mile round trip to Chernivtsi by former top racer and ex-KTM UK factory team manager, Richard Cole.
