NORTHERN SERIES ALL SET

April 11th, 2019.

The Brian Winrow Memorial at Wooley Grange in Co Durham this Saturday, the 13th of April, is the opening round of both the NETT and QRS Championships.

Round 2 of both quad championships is the very next day, Sunday the 14th, when competitors will be joined by riders competing in the ACU Clubmans Sidecar Championship. With sidecars around on Saturday too, as NETT host an adult sidecar class, it’s bound to be a competitive and spectacular weekend.

Having the two Northern Quad clubs racing together made for some exciting racing last season and similar battles are anticipated this weekend. While reigning NETT and Scottish Champ Murray Graham has not yet confirmed if he intends to defend his double titles, young guns Lorne Sinclair and Ayrton Knowles are likely to be among the pacesetters this season, along with the slightly more mature Lindsey Duke, Michael Brewis and Paul Broomhead.

The junior classes look to be well supported too, with Jordan Wright, Taylor Hyndman, Jay Sams and Kyle Smith, who all did so well last season, making a welcome return.

The highly competitive 150cc and 250cc youth classes are also well represented again this season, but eyes may be on last year’s 250 Open winner Zak Beevers, who has been promoted to the Adult Support class, taking on the likes of George Oliver and Peter MacGregor.

Entries remain open till Thursday the 11th and can be made through the usual ACU portal, with more info and links at www.nettquad.co.uk
