WALKER ON THE MARCH IN EURO SERIES

May 10th, 2018.

Harry Walker ensured the 3000-mile trip to round three of the European Championship in Ukraine last weekend was worthwhile when he picked up his second podium finish of the 2018 series.

The 19-year old ZIP Yamaha rider secured third spot overall thanks to two third places in the half hour motos, and in doing so moved up the championship table from sixth to third place. He now sits just 20 points behind the series leader, Christopher Tveraen from Norway.

Tveraen's series lead was clipped back to six points on Sunday when he could only finish second overall to the reigning champion, Kevin Saar from Estonia, who won both races at Chernivtsi.

The next round is at Cieszyn in southern Poland near the Czech border on the 27th of May, which is a slightly less daunting 2000 mile round trip!

Before then Walker will take in the third round of the NORA-MX Pro-Am championship at Milton Malsor, in Northamptonshire, on the 20th of May, where he will try and get a foothold in the series after missing the opening two rounds as they clashed with the trip to Ukraine.
