TEAM SJS READY TO ROCK AT THE PONT

June 28th, 2018.

The leading British team at Pont de Vaux for the last three years – Team SJS – has announced the line-up it hopes will finally get them on the podium after three fourth places in a row.

Team leader Sheldon Seal will be joined once again by David Cowan, with another Ulsterman, Michael McAneney, stepping into the team for the first time at Europe’s most prestigious quad race, which runs over the weekend of the 24th to the 26th of August.

“After all this time, the podium or better is our goal, and I truly believe this is our strongest team to date now we have Michael on board,” said Seal.

A second “young guns” team running under the SJS banner also has a good chance of glory in the Under 21 category. It is comprised of James Bevan, Luke Davies and Alex Bethell, a line-up that boasts plenty of PDV experience already, despite their ages.

The Pont de Vaux event also includes a two-leg, four-hour “support” race called the Kenny Cup, that attracts the biggest entry of the weekend. This year it will include an all-girl SJS team of Vassna Willcock and Nicole Lowry, plus a second entry which will be ridden ‘ironman” (solo) by George Miles.
