All three riders were presented with plaques by SACU Chairman, Major Sandy Mack, who said; “We are delighted to acknowledge their achievements, both at home and further afield. Scotland may be small, but many of our riders go on to represent us very successfully beyond our border and it is important to recognise them.”

The presentation took place in Livingston, where the top riders from almost all the disciplines of bike sport in Scotland were gathered to receive the National Championship awards.

In the quad category Murray Graham - no stranger to receiving silverware – was crowned SACU Champion for the fourth time in six years, as well as the QRS Championship for the fifth year. Former champion Michael Brewis was runner-up, and Gary Atkinson was third overall.

Winners and top runners across all quad classes turned out to accept the prestigious national awards; James Nisbet took the Adult Support Championship, with Peter MacGregor second and Richie Cornett winning the Over 40s Championship title.

Junior classes were well represented too. Taylor Hyndman was crowned 100cc Modified Champion, with Jay Sams runner up. In the 250 categories, Louise Meek took the 250 Standard title while Robbie Wood received the 250 Open Class trophy, with Lewis Humphris a worthy second.
