Quad racing ace Justin Reid took the first and second race wins at the fourth round of the Cromwell Trucks British QX Championship, hosted by Nora-MX, at Mildenhall, Ipswich. A clearly-delighted Oli Sansom placed himself firmly back in the British championship quad-racing frame with a straight start to finish win in the final premier-class moto; his first British championship win!

Timed qualifying threw up a few surprises with six Under-21 competitors in the top 10, and an U-21 racer in the form of Lorne Sinclair putting in a blistering lap of 1:42.326 to take the fastest time and first gate pick.

Mark McLernon again proved that consistency pays dividends by taking all three second places to win the overall on the day, and extend his championship lead to 57 points over second-placed British QX, and leading U21 competitor, Harry Walker, who had a mixed bag of results, but did enough to keep himself in contention in both championships.

Dean Dillon took a hard-fought third place in race one, with non-other than former multi-British champion Paul Winrow showing the youngsters his rear wheels when he charged through to third in the second-moto. George Callaway claimed that third podium spot in the last British QX race of the day.
