TEAM GB CONFIRMED FOR QUADCROSS OF EUROPEAN NATIONS

September 29 2016.

George Callaway, Luke Cooper and Murray Graham have been confirmed as the riders to represent Team Great Britain at the Quadcross of European Nations in France on the 8th and 9th of October, ensuring riders from each of the eligible home nations - England, Wales and Scotland - are included.

Newly-crowned NORA Champion, Callaway, 22, and Scottish Champion, Graham, 17, will both be making their Nations' debuts at the fast and hilly, hardpack track of Gueugnon in the centre of the country, but it will be the third time at the event for 21-year-old Cooper.

Team Manager Karl Robinson said: "We have pulled together an excellent team despite the event clashing with Weston and the first round of the French Sand Championship. The track suits our lad's strengths, so we can be competitive if we get a bit of luck. It's also a truly representative team, with riders from three different countries. We've also had great support from all the major clubs - NORA, NETT and QRS - plus help from Filtec and ZIP, for which we are extremely grateful.

"We would also love as many British fans to come and support us as possible. And, if you want to look the part, there are official team supporters shirts - designed just like the team riding gear - available direct from Danger UK."

Riders from Northern Ireland ride under the Team Ireland banner at the event, and they have a strong squad. Mark McLernon, Leon Rogers and Justin Reid - the current leaders of the British Championship, Under 21 British Championship and British Championship Vets Cup respectively - make up the squad.

Reigning champions Holland have fielded a full-stength side of Mike van Grinsven, Marc de Vries and Joe Maessen, while hosts France - who skipped the event last year - have weighed in with a very stong trio of Adrien Mangieu, Antoine Cheurlin and Yoan Gillouin.

Full details of all the teams and the event, which also features the Sidecarcross of Nations, can be found at the organiser's excellent website at www.nationsgueugnon2016.com
