WINROW TEAMS WITH ROCKETMAN FOR PDV

May 27 2015.

British Champion Paul Winrow will team up with British No2 Carl Bunce and Dutch star Joe Maessen for this year's Pont de Vaux 12 hour classic in France.

The squad has been brought together by the Rocketman Suzuki squad which has been Britain’s leading team at the event for the past five years.  Winrow's RPG Yamaha squad has generously given the multi British champ permission for the one off ride o the Rocketman Suzuki.

Team boss Jason Smith believes its one of the best line-ups the squad has ever managed to pull together.

“Paul and Joe are both previous winners of the event and Carl has been on the podium,” said Jason. “Obviously you need a bit of luck at Pont de Vaux, but in terms of rider experience it would be difficult to pull together a better team.”

Smith will build a special Suzuki LT-R450 for the race after Maessen managed to source one of the last remaining new ones left in Europe in Slovakia. Traditionally the team has used Walsh chassis parts on their machines, but this year has picked up support from Laeger's, thanks to support from UK distributor ATV's Only.

The Rocketman team is still finalizing its other support teams for the event, but has retained its traditional sponsors – BOA, The Brakehouse, Arrow, Dirtwarz and PEP.

One other strong British team confirmed for PDV, which is staged from the 20th to the 23rd of August, features European champion, Mike van Grinsven, riding with Sheldon Seal and Davey Cowan on a Yamaha YFZ450R.
