2019 ULSTER QUADCROSS ROUND 2

May 14th, 2019.

The 2019 Ulster Quadcross & Sidecarcross Championship rocked up to the sunny, but chilly, Tandragee MX Park for round two.

In the ATVs Only Premier Quad class, Milton Keynes based Hillsborough man, Mark McLernon was in dominant form once again with three wins from three starts. Leon Rogers, from Navan, in second overall was the only man to briefly head McLernon when he grabbed the race three holeshot. Dean Dillon, from Moira, posted another podium to continue his fine run of form, which would have been better if he hadn’t stalled, however, the youngster is getting better with each race. English visitor Harry Walker - over for some practice prior to the British round at Tandragee over the next bank holiday weekend - was fourth. Tying with Walker was Justin Reid whose race card was ruined thanks to poor starts. Behind them, Scot Lorne Sinclair brought his brand-new machine home in sixth.

The Gilchrist Plant Hire Clubman’s Support Class was won by Omagh youngster Jamie Quinn, who was followed home by another young star Jack Young from Lisburn, with Dromore veteran Kyle Orr third. After three great races, Orr and Sean Cassidy tied on points, while Pat Whelan and David Brown rounded out the top six.
