First established in 1954, Cyril Johnston is one of the largest suppliers and distributors of garden machinery and leisure goods in the UK and Ireland. Operating on an 8-acre site in Carryduff on the outskirts of Belfast, the company now welcomes the Yamaha franchise to its portfolio of premium brands.

The recent appointment will allow the business to successfully offer its customers a full range of machinery for a variety of needs. With a long-standing history in the grounds care sector, Cyril Johnston has several reputable brands within its portfolio, including Baroness, Iseki, Toro and now Yamaha.

“Yamaha is the missing piece of the puzzle for us. The appointment has come with a lot of excitement for the team as it gives us the addition of the Golf vehicles and ATVs that we haven’t had before. Brian Mitchell our head of Groundscare and Retail along with Ian Ellis, our sales manager have both been instrumental in the appointment and I am very grateful for the work they have put in to this new partnership” Tom Black, Managing Director, Cyril Johnston.

“As a rule, we don’t like to hold brands that clash with each other, so we have been missing this type of product. The team are looking forward to getting out and speaking with customers about the new product range,” Tom continued.

The location of the business allows for plenty of footfall, just a short drive from Belfast in a popular retail park. The site lends itself well to visitors, allowing passing traffic to browse several stores including the Cyril Johnston outlet.
