DRAGON RINGS CHANGES WITH DOUBLE-HEADER

July 19th, 2021.

Dragon Quad Racing is holding its first double-header over the weekend of the 24th and 25th of July, and is introducing a Sprint format alongside its more traditional XC.

Rounds four and five of the ATVs Only British XC Championship will take place at Tyn Twyll. However, round four will take the form of a Sprint race for both adult and youth classes, with the mini quad group running as normal.

Each Sprint rider will tackle a shortened course against the clock. The first lap will see each rider set off at around ten second intervals starting with the Expert + riders. Once everyone has had their first run the times will be collated and riders called back to the line for the second lap, which will begin with the fastest through to the slowest,. This will continue throughout the day until everyone has completed at least five laps. The winner of each category; Expert, 4x4, etc, will be declared at the end of the day based on lap times and points awarded.

Round five on Sunday will revert to the regular DQR XC, with the extended track back to its normal 10-12 minutes.

A £10 entry fee discount will apply to riders who book for both days.

Online entries are now open via www.nora92.com
