This weekend – the 13th and 14th of June - signals the sixth round of the FIM Quadcross World Championship and the last one before the summer break until the end of July. The Estonian circuit of Karksi Nuia will be unfamiliar to many of the world championship competitors.The UK’s hard-battling riders suffered setbacks at last weekend’s fifth round at Gdansk, Poland, with Harry Walker collecting his first DNF in three years. Walker finished 10th overall on the day, Mark McLernon 11th, Dafydd Davies 15th and Oli Sansom 17th. Sadly, Ayrton Knowles failed to score points.
As the riders get ready to line up at Karksi Nuia, the top five standings are;
1. Patrick Turrini 251, 2. Kevin Saar 222, 3. Harry Walker 197, 4. Manfred Zeinecker 173, 5. Mark McLernon 165.
Further down the field of 40 fast-charging European quad riders are Brits;
11. Dafydd Davies 90, 19. Oli Sansom 43, 24. Ayrton Knowles 24. Louie Holt 12.
