The tyres are constructed with a special technology and by using different rubber layers for the carcass and the knobs, the manufacturer can adjust each compound perfectly. First, they apply a harder compound to the carcass which gives the tyre a perfect vertical flex. Then, they define a good gripping compound for the knobs.
