Iron Baltic is one of the largest manufacturers of ATV skid plates in Europe, and they’re now available in the UK from stock at ATVs Only.

The company was established in 2006 in the Northern European country of Estonia and has since rapidly expanded both its product line and availability. Currently, the Iron Baltic range includes more than 200 model-specific products as well as an ever-expanding line of universal products.

Iron Baltic products are designed from the ground up and based on input from users and machine manufacturers. The designs are carefully prototyped, thoroughly tested, improved, and tested some more. Only when the team are sure the product fully meets the requirements for which it is built, will they start production and, even then, continue to update with improvements.

ATVs Only has taken delivery of three pallets of skid plate sets – both Alloy and PHD plastic – which are suitable for large 4x4 ATVs such as Honda Rincon, Polaris Scrambler, Can-Am Outlander/Renegade, etc. Recommended retail prices start at £399.99.

Iron Baltic ATV aluminium skid plates have the best possible durability-to-weigh-ratio and offer superior protection. They are made from marine grade aluminium, which is the hardest aluminium that can still be mechanically processed. The aluminium is shaped using CNC cutting, the sides are then CNC bent, and the corners of the bent sides TIG welded. The outcome is a structurally rigid skid plate that is strong and durable even in extreme conditions.

The Iron Baltic ATV plastic skid plates are a big step up from factory installed plastic covers. They are made from high density polyethylene (PE-HWU), which has excellent sliding properties, high corrosion and chemical resistance, and superb UV-protection. The material remains very tough even at low temperatures, but is still flexible enough not to deform and regain its shape after an impact. Plastic skid plates are structurally rigid and durable with low friction properties offering easy and safe operations even in extreme conditions.

Both Aluminium and Plastic Iron Baltic skid plates feature full protection of the bottom and front part of the ATV. They weigh in the region of 16 to 24 kg, have openings for draining and washing and holes for oil changing and accessory mounting kits.
