The Connor Smith Memorial race weekend was held at Cingoli in Italy earlier this month. A strong contingent of British riders made the trip celebrate the life of Scottish rider Connor.

Ayrton Knowles was the top-placed British rider with three runner up positions, just seconds off the winning Italian rider. “The event was brilliant. The Italians looked after us all once again and made us feel at home. The track was tough-going, and the Italians were hard to beat on home soil, but all the Brits put up a fight. I was second overall in the Sport class after some close racing. It was great to be back in Italy after missing the last couple of years thanks to Covid. It’s always an emotional weekend, but it’s nice to celebrate the life of Connor #660 at such a beautiful place. A massive thank you goes out to Bill Smith and Karl Robinson for organising everything for the Brits, and to the Italians for once again hosting a great event.”
