LOUIE HOLT WRAPS UP FIRST BRITISH QX TITLE OF 2026 SEASON

July 13th, 2026.

A hot and dusty track was the order of the day for the fifth round of the 2026 British QX Championship, yesterday Sunday the 12th of July, hosted by Nora-MX at Culham MX, Oxford.

All competitors battled hard in the heat, with 100% results for the winners of each class– British, National Expert and Under-21. However, only one contestant was crowned British Champion at the penultimate round of the series, namely, rapidly-rising quad racing star Louie Holt. The KIK-supported youngster celebrated his 18th birthday on the 30th of June. He then took those celebrations to Culham MX to become the back-to-back British Under-21 Champ!

In the British Championship, reigning Champ and series leader Harry Walker, provided a masterclass of quad racing in scorching race conditions. However, he didn’t have it all his own way as Dafydd Davies qualified fastest, and veteran Carl Bunce showed the younger riders his rear wheels, securing the holeshot in all three motos. Tom Day was fourth and Emma Wray fifth.

Despite three race wins and significant margins, Walker’s on-the-day points of 75 points weren’t quite enough to for him to wrap up the Championship early. He goes to Duns, Scotland, in September with 365 points ahead of Davies on 301.

In the National Experts, multi-British QX Champ Paul Winrow dusted off his racing boots for a return to Culham and, with three wins from three starts, showed the field that he can’t be written off yet! Craig Fisher was second with current series leader Joshua third. Aled Davies was fourth.

With Louie Holt securing the Under-21 Championship title one round early, it’s all eyes on second-placed Aled Davies, and third Reggie Binksin who only have two points between them heading into the final round.
