MCLERNON TAKES BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP ADVANTAGE

The fourth round of the 2021 British Quad Championship was held at Little Silver Motocross Park on Sunday the 1st of August.


Mark McLernon dominated the first race to take the win ahead of Dafydd Davies and Harry Walker, with Dean Dillon taking a well-deserved fourth place. National Experts leader Robbie Wood was in the mix with fifth and Alfie Walker sixth.

McLernon’s winning streak continued into the second moto when he finished in front of Oli Sansom, who convincingly beat Jamie Morgan in his only finish of the day. Walker dropped back from second at the halfway point, but managed to hold on to fourth, with Davies fifth and Dillon recovering from a bad start to secure sixth.

In the final race, Davies battled with McLernon, but fought through to take the lead as the race approached the final few laps. Behind him the competition was strong, with Sansom taking another solid second, Dillon third, Walker fourth, McLernon fifth and Wood sixth.

With one round remaining, McLernon leads the championship with a 15-point margin over Davies, who is 17 points ahead of Sansom. Harry Walker, Dillon and Alfie Walker round out the top six.
