MCLERNON & WALKER BATTLE AT TANDRAGEE

The third round of the ACU British Quadcross Championship was promoted by Quad Racing Ireland at Tandragee Motocross Park ,Co Armagh, N. Ireland on Saturday the 18th of June.


Reigning champion and current leader Mark McLernon once again proved to be unbeatable as he secured three wins from three starts. He enjoyed a big advantage in motos one and two, crossing the line in the first by almost 17 seconds ahead of David Cowan and by 10 seconds over Harry Walker in the second. However, he was chased hard by Walker in the final race and made to work hard to keep him at bay, as lap after lap of high-speed action, they were rarely half a second apart. McLernon defended the challenge and blasted across the finish line just 0.517 ahead of Walker.

McLernon’s perfect score of 75, keeps him safely at the top of the British Championship. Dean Dillon’s consistent set of thirds placed him second overall on the day, with Walker one point away in third.

Clubman Quad Support: 1. A Black 50, 2. M Adams 44, 3. M Gilchrist 40.
Youth Auto Support: 1. JJ Malone 50, 2. O Gallagher 44, 3. D Cross 38.
Y2 Youth 80/100cc: 1. D Duddy 45, 2. R Farren 41, 3. H Orr 37.
