April 22nd, 2025.
The opening round of the 2025 NORA-MX Club and British Championships took place at the ever-popular Warmingham Lane circuit over the weekend of the 19th and 20th of April. With the paddock buzzing and the sun shining, there was a real sense of excitement as riders, teams, and fans returned for another year of top-tier racing.
Saturday – Club Championship Begins with a BangSaturday saw a fantastic turnout for the first round of the NORA-MX Club Championship. Riders from across the country made their way to Warmingham, and it was clear everyone was thrilled to be back racing. With stacked lineups across every group, the racing was intense, competitive, and of a seriously high standard from start to finish.
A special highlight on Saturday was the first round of the British Sidecar Championship, where Brett Wilkinson and Joe Millard delivered a dominant performance, taking the overall win with incredible consistency and pace throughout the day.
Sunday – British Quad Championship Round 1 Delivers Drama and DeterminationSunday brought the main event—Round 1 of the British Quad Championship - the level of racing didn’t disappoint.
Harry Walker started the season where he left off last year. Going at a super-quick pace, he took three holeshots and race wins from three starts. He secured maximum points at the first round!
Among the front-runners, Jamie Morgan was looking seriously fast, but in a cruel twist of fate, an ECU issue in the first race forced him to DNF. Despite the setback, he bounced back with two impressive second place finishes in the remaining races, proving his speed and determination.
Dafydd Davies was another rider showing blistering pace throughout the day but, unfortunately, ran into mechanical gremlins that affected his results. His raw speed, however, reminded everyone that he’ll be a force to reckon with in the rounds to come.
One of the standout stories of the day was Paul Edgar, who was on track for a strong overall result until a dramatic crash just before the finish line of race two. In true racer spirit, Edgar pushed his bike across the line, salvaging valuable points. He and his team worked quickly to get the quad repaired, and he came back strong in the final race, ultimately securing a well-earned second overall.
Several riders stepped up with incredible consistency and performance to secure podium positions, demonstrating just how deep the talent pool is this year.
Looking AheadWith Round 1 of both Club and British championships now done and dusted, it’s clear that the 2024 season is going to be one to watch. From dramatic comebacks to mechanical heartbreaks and emerging talents, the action at Warmingham Lane had it all. Next stop: Ironworks for Round 2—bring it on.
