QBRUS TAKES ON PONT DE VAUX AS OFFICIAL YAMAHA SUPPORTED TEAM

August 20th, 2024.

Official Yamaha Supported Team QuadBikesRUs (QBRUS) is fielding riders in three quad classes at this weekend’s Pont de Vaux (PDV)/Mondial du Quad mega event in Eastern France.

Mark McLernon, Ayrton Knowles and Aaron Haslett will ride with race number 25 in the main event, the 12 Hours of Pont-de-Vaux.

Geoff Otway will contest the Kenny Vintage with the race number 10, while Harry Barker #23 will ride in the Kenny Kids class.

“We’re so proud to be an Official Yamaha Supported Team,” said QBRUS Dealer Principal Kerry Parker. “It’s great for the sport that Yamaha will be following our teams at PDV, and an acknowledgement of all the hard work that goes into the event by all concerned.

“Our original main event line up included Laurence Stopps but, sadly, he damaged his knee a few weeks ago which has stopped him riding. We’re very fortunate that Mark was able to step in and it’s great to have him back on the team again. He’ll be riding a Yamaha 450R, built and maintained by Terry Stopps.

“Geoff has dusted off his Yamaha Banshee for its annual trip to France. He says he’s looking forward to trying to beat Marc Gabert, his great friend and arch rival in the Kenny Vintage. The Banshee is built and maintained by Geoff.

“Finally, we have young Harry in the Kenny Kids. He was the Blu Cru winner last year on his YFM90R. 2024 has been his first season on a Yamaha YFM125. Riding a geared machine has come naturally to him – he’s already flying around the tracks. He came to PDV last year to watch and even picked up Geoff’s trophy for him. His Yamaha is built and maintained by his dad Jamie Barker.

“We’re all really looking forward to the event and flying the flag for Yamaha, Great Britain and of course QBRUS.”

The 72h de Pont-de-Vaux will take place in Ain, Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, France from Thursday the 22nd of August through to Sunday the 25th.
