SANSOM'S ON A ROLL

May 4th, 2021.

The second and third rounds of the 2021 Nora-MX Championship took place over the bank holiday weekend at Brookthorpe, Gloucestershire
.

The Pro class witnessed changes at the top with a back-on-form Mark McLernon taking the second round overall. However, off-season training clearly paid dividends for Oli Sansom, who backed up a perfect six out of six wins at NETT the previous weekend, with the overall Pro win at Nora-MX round three.

“I did two days at Nora-MX in preparation for the British,” said Sansom. “My head wasn’t in the best of places as it was only a week after my mate Derek Burns passed. All I could hear was him saying that the next time I went out I needed to get a win. We were trying things with the quad all weekend and just testing things under race conditions up against the quickest riders in the country. I managed to get a nice set up in the last race, got another holeshot and the win which gave me the overall on the day. My Yamaha was on point throughout. I’m dedicating my win to Derek who always told me to keep focused.”
