TATLER TAKES NORA-MX AIR-COOLED CHAMPIONSHIP WIN

October 29th, 2024.

14-year-old year-old Samuel James Tatler contested the Nora-MX ACU British Air-Cooled Quad Championship this year aboard his Yamaha 250cc. He blasted his way to the top of the leaderboard and secured the championship title at the last round of the series at FatCat Moto Parc last weekend.

Tatler has enjoyed a brilliantly solid and inspiring season with Nora-MX. He has won seven out of 14 races showing that consistency is key when it comes to winning championships.

At the final round at FatCat, Samuel said, “that track needs some respect as it wants to catch you out all the time.”

It was double points at the last round and Tatler won the first two motos, posting the fastest lap time in both races. A second-place finish in the final race saw the youngster from Kent take the championship with 747 points. Osian Phillips was second with 718 points and Josh Smart third on 664.

Tatler will move up to the 250cc Open Class on his Yamaha YFZR/YZ250F for next year’s Nora-MX championship. He raced the hybrid for the first time back in August at the Pont de Vaux, where he loved the extra power and balance the bike has over the 250 air-cooled. he said it really suited his riding and he won his class.
