WALKER BROS LEAD RESPECTIVE CHAMPIONSHIPS

August 20th, 2020.

Harry and Alfie Walker made the most of the double points Nora-MX meeting at Grittenham last weekend to secure their positions out front in the Pro and Clubman Elite championships.

After three Nora-MX rounds, Harry leads the UK’s largest and only domestic Pro series by a comfortable 53 points. He posted finishes of second, first and 10th to grab the overall by two points. Meanwhile Alife, who heads the Clubman Elites by seven points, took a 1-1-2 to win the day and also the accolade of being the only Clubman to break the two-minute barrier with fastest laps of 1.59 in the first two motos. He also narrowed his runners-up margin in the 2020 ACU Clubman British Championship to just two points off the leader.

The Walker family are now focussing on the August bank holiday Great8 event, which will be held at the Newbury Showground, Berkshire. The boys have chosen to team up under the Par Homes/Walker Brothers banner and will be looking to repeat the victories they enjoyed independently as youth teams – Harry also won the arduous endurance race as an adult with Baily Edwards a few years back.

Not content to simply sit on the side-line and watch the boys, ‘old man’ Stu Walker is dusting off his racing boots, and revving up his Banshee, to contest the Evo class - an event he won around four years ago (he thinks …).
